Gallery A - Finding My Way

My drawings come from presence and discovery. Working with pencil and charcoal, I let lines appear, fade, and return until a face begins to emerge.

There is a structure to this emergence, but also a freedom in allowing the drawing to find its own way. What began as stylized faces gradually moved toward portraiture, bringing my own way of seeing and interpreting a face into the process.

These are not portraits in the traditional sense, but expressions of inner states — open spaces for viewers to pause, feel, and find their own meaning.

This series is a reflection of that journey: finding balance between structure and spontaneity, between what is imagined and what begins to feel real.
